Guadalquivir and Guadiana Cruises

Guadalquivir and Guadiana : the rivers of Andalusia

Head to the Mediterranean Sea with our cruises on the two rivers which introduce you to wonderful cities such as Cadiz, Granada or its capital, Seville, and its breathtaking cathedral. The Guadalquivir river, which name derives from the Arabic, meaning “Great River”, was originally acted as a conduit of trade and culture.

A cruise along the Guadalquivir and Guadiana rivers in Spain is the ideal way to explore Andalusia's cultural heritage and scenery. With more than 300 days of sunshine per year, an exceptional climate in Southern Europe and a quite extraordinary light and radiance, Andalusia also has the largest number of protected natural areas in Spain and a great historic and artistic heritage, unique in the world. It is renowned for its Village fiestas all year round and of course, great gastronomy of the highest quality.

Taste the famous Spanish Ham thanks to our Jamon Iberico Route cruise, where all the excursions are included such as a guided walking tour of Cadiz or a visit of an Andalusian hacienda. Discover the famous Donana National Park and enjoy a spectacular preserved landscape with its sand dunes, multiple migratory birds, and its marshes.

If you ever dreamed of celebrating Christmas in Spain, join us on our Andalusian Christmas cruise in December and experience an unforgettable moment in a warm atmosphere where sharing and enchantment come together, as part of a truly mesmerizing celebration.

On the banks of the Guadalquivir, in the heart of Andalusia

Seville, the capital of Andalusia and the jewel of the Guadalquivir

Seville stands out as the beating heart of all our Andalusian cruises. The city can be explored around the Alcázar Palace, a stunning blend of architectural styles, as well as around its Gothic cathedral, its fragrant alleyways, and its lively terraces. It is here that the ship docks each day, giving you time to immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of the Andalusian capital, with its flamenco, cuisine, and way of life.

Córdoba and Granada: The Moorish Heritage in the Spotlight

Setting out from Seville, a cruise down the Guadalquivir River takes you to Córdoba, a city that perfectly blends history and modernity, featuring the Mezquita-Catedral, a masterpiece of Islamic architecture. Further on, Granada boasts a wealth of marvelous monuments and beautiful sites, including its cathedral, which houses the tomb of Christopher Columbus. Together with Seville, these two destinations form the Golden Triangle of Andalusia, a treasure trove of history and millennia-old beauty.

Cádiz, Huelva, and the Atlantic Coast

A boat trip along the Guadalquivir River and through the Gulf of Cádiz to Huelva extends the itinerary to the Atlantic coast of Andalusia. Cádiz, one of Europe’s oldest cities, boasts whitewashed alleyways and stunning seascapes, while Huelva invites visitors to follow in the footsteps of Christopher Columbus: the Monastery of La Rábida and the Caravel Park feature full-scale replicas of the Genoese explorer’s ships. A stopover steeped in history, bridging the Old World and the horizons of the New.

Excellent organization and service from the airport to the ship and back (round trip). A perfect welcome on board from ALL the staff. At the restaurant, Gérald and all the waitstaff were attentive, considerate, and warm. It doesn’t get any better than this! It was a pleasure to dine in such a friendly atmosphere. Congratulations to the entire kitchen staff for the high-quality meals that were remarkably well presented. We had such a wonderful time at the table!!! The cruise director, activity leaders, cabin crew, and bar staff—each one was friendlier than the next. Very interesting excursions. An exceptional cruise—highly recommended.
